The realization of Jin's power through the Devil Gene, which he found to be similar to that of Kazuya's power, led him to dispose Jin after successfully gaining the attention of Ogre he later learned that a biotech firm, G Corporation, had stored Kazuya's remains to inject the Devil Gene in others, sending his Tekken Force after the corporation before they eventually failed and resurrected Kazuya. After regaining control of the Mishima Zaibatsu from Kazuya after the first and second King of Iron Fist tourmanents, he organized the Tekken Force to investigate other operations and cultivate sub-par countries, finding what he found to be the legendary Ogre and putting his grandson Jin under his wing hoping to lure it in through a "strong soul". He threw his son, Kazuya, off a cliff while he was still a child due to suspecting he inherited the Devil Gene from his mother (and Heihachi's wife) Kazumi, which later lead to a seemingly endless feud between them among other members of the Mishima bloodline. Heihachi is a ruthless, cunning businessman who runs the multinational conglomerate known as the Mishima Zaibatsu, and started the tournament depicted in the first Tekken game to gather soldiers for personal use. He is a bald old man wearing a black, damaged karate gi with a red belt, and is a master of the Mishima Style of karate, a fighting style also seen in his son Kazuya Mishima and grandson Jin Kazama (but only in Tekken 3). Heihachi Mishima is a recurring character from the Tekken series, appearing in every Tekken game and commonly seen as a mascot of the franchise. There are versions of this character available that don't have their own branch articles!
